What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Elizabeth: Waiting to walk down the aisle. I was already tearing up and told my dad I loved him, and my dad was tearing up too. I also loved it when my mom said she wouldn’t cry at my wedding, but then when we were doing the rose ceremony thanking the mothers for the life they have given us, she was tearing up too. =D

Nick: Being asked who my best friend was and tricking Elizabeth when I looked down at the dog.

Any advice for future bride/grooms?

Elizabeth: Get a wedding planner! They are extremely helpful! And remember to remind yourself that at some point there is nothing more you can do, and allow yourself to let go and relax!!! That was one of the best feelings when I was able to hand everything off to someone else so I wouldn’t have to stress. Then I went and had a relaxing afternoon with my girls! And don’t stress about the weather, just make sure you have a backup plan in case it rains. Prepare for what you can, and let the rest go. I can’t put into words how much I enjoyed my wedding day with my family and friends, and my husband. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. And I’m still super happy it didn’t rain!!!

Nick: Read those vows – don’t let the wedding day be your first run through. But also have fun with the little things of the wedding – songs, having friends do things, have your dog, ect…..

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Elizabeth: The moment when Bryan, our officiate, asked Nick who his best friend was. Nick looked at Tek, our dog, the ring bearer. Haha, very funny Nicholas.

Nick:
Not quite saying the exact vows as the officiate stated. Instead of saying I would “cherish” my wife, I said I would “share” my wife. She quickly corrected me. Ha!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Elizabeth: Not a thing. =D, Actually I would have kept the wine ceremony in the ceremony. (where we seal a bottle of wine and add love notes to it). We did this in private instead of during the ceremony, but evidently Bryan, our officiate had some good jokes. I also would have made sure to have someone record at least the ceremony. Everything else went fantastic though. One of the happiest days of my life. =D

Nick: Everything worked out very well. A little over estimation on the alcohol, but that’s no biggie.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Curacao, beautiful get away. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing.
