Jodee & Andy’s entire wedding truly was a family affair and they wanted to keep the entire celebration as personalized and intimate as possible. They definitely chose the perfect venue at the Newland House in Huntington Beach for their DIY wedding. From the handmade heart-shaped garlands, seating chart, party favors, centerpieces, flowers and wedding program, all created with the help of our Jodee & Andy’s family and friends. Their numerous hours and weekends spent putting together by hand all of the wedding details truly brought them closer together.

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
JODEE: Having my dad walk me down the aisle. My dad lives in Florida now and he hasn’t been back to California since he left, which was 7 years ago. My dad had to go through a lot just to be able to be at the wedding, so it truly meant so much to me to finally have him there right by my side.
ANDY: Finally getting to see Jodee walk down the aisle.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
JODEE: Keep it simple. You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars to have a beautiful and memorable wedding. The most important part is having the love and support of your family and friends and your husband by your side. The marriage is more important to me than the wedding…because it’s the marriage that lasts forever!
ANDY: Keep it simple.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
JODEE: The look on Andy’s face after he finally found and got the garter!
ANDY: Seeing Bruce, my Step-Dad & our officiant, getting funky on the dance floor with Jodee.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
ANDY: No way!
JODEE: If only I had the power to warm up the temperature and calm the winds, but I don’t. Other than that the wedding was a blast and I would not change a thing!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Palm Springs for a pre-mini weekend honeymoon, but our big honeymoon adventure will be in Bali this August!!! We are soooo stoked!
