For Liane & Michael, the story of “a guy and a girl walked into a bar and fell in love” could not have been a more perfect beginning to their East Coast love story. From their first date over dinner and popcorn-filled movies, to their momentous second date ice skating at the Boston Common Frog Pond, which nearly three years later would mark the spot of a lasting proposal, Liane & Michael’s commitment to continuing their journey together has always led up to this momentous day where they could together become man and wife. Set amidst the lush, grassy fields of Zukas Hilltop Barn in Spencer, Massachusetts, friends, family and loved ones gathered atop the open air, undisturbed countryside for a ceremony to celebrate the homegrown beauty and simplicity of Liane & Michael’s deep-rooted love. Like the small tree that symbolized their growing love and the rustic, nearby tree swing hung from the sunlit forest of nearby trees, they welcomed the adventure of married life with open hearts. As the reception began, guests were welcomed into an open-air tent adorned with twinkling string lights and nature-inspired elements that exuded backyard charm like tree stump rounds where notes of advice could be written to the newlyweds and vibrant arrangements of wildflowers and blooms that decorated the tables. We loved having the chance to travel to the East Coast to capture this enchanted day for Liane & Michael. It was a pleasure working with Wedding & Events Coordinator Alyson Russo of Zukas Hilltop Barn, as well as the amazing staff of this beautiful New England venue. We look forward to shooting some more East Coast weddings in the future!

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Michael: Celebrating with family and friends all in the same place and turning around and seeing Liane for the first time in her dress.
Liane: Everything! Having our favorite people in the world all in one place to join in our celebration was the best thing.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Michael: Enjoy it and have a blast. Don’t worry about anything.
Liane: Choose all of our vendors because they were all amazing! But also, enjoy the whole process of planning all the way up to your big day. And then, take time to take it all in, because the day goes by so fast!
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Michael: George’s Best Man Speech. And also during The Rock’s theme song when my friend did the “people’s elbow” on the dance floor.
Liane: When the photo booth props made it to the dance floor, and all the crazy dancing that followed!
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Michael: Nothing.
Liane: It was pretty perfect… I do wish I had more time to visit with all of our guests. But I really couldn’t have asked for a better day!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
